Spa Tips – September 2017

Spa Tips
September 2017

If you plan to make changes to your back yard around the spa area, the time you spend planning before you start will pay off hugely.

Think about any problems you have. Sometimes its simply privacy you need, maybe you need to block the wind or perhaps enhance a view. Consider ease of entry and exit, shelter in bad weather, where to hang towels and keeping your feet clean. Think about what time of day you use your spa the most, and the views that are different at these different times. Consider adding lighting for safety as well as ambience.

Do you want to keep it within a shared family space with a party feel and music, or some distance away. Perhaps an Island sanctuary for rest and relaxation, or romance with a place for candles and aromatherapy. You may want a more natural feel. A leafy green space for meditation and herbs nearby that can be plucked for a relaxing tea to sip on.

You can enhance that ambience with planting. Deciduous trees will allow shade on summer days and a clearer space in winter. Planting white flowered or silver leafed shrubs will reflect the moon light in the evenings and fragranced planting will give another dimension to your nighttime spa, when the air is denser and the perfume hangs heavy.  We are happy to chat about ideas when you are next in or email me back on here.

This Months Special

We want to see what your spa area looks like. It can be a blank canvas like the pic above, a work in progress or a professionally finished area of perfection. This month we have a $100 YardArt Statue Voucher up for grabs.

All pics received by Sep 30th will go in the draw. Odds are high and it will just take a few minutes to flick them this way, so don’t be shy.
