Sculpture Walk

Turning this piece of unused real estate into something special took over a year of planning and hard yakka! We couldn’t get any heavy machinery up into the area as the ground was sloping and very, very wet. It could have been a long slide to the bottom of the hill if it had gone wrong so we took it upon ourselves to come up with a plan that worked with the landscape rather than changing it.

We dug out paths by hand, levelled the ground using brute force, and lots of pushing wheelbarrows of dirt from one area to another to achieve the levels we wanted for each area. Using our combined expertise, we created separate areas to showcase all that we have here at YardArt. Making something out of nothing is what we are all about, and we most certainly achieved this.

Coming in the gate you are directed to the pathway which leads past the ponga wall, and behind the building where there is an area dedicated to our featured outdoor artist. This changes constantly, so you have to keep coming back and checking out the new talent!

From here you are led behind the building, through an archway, and into a little piece of paradise where we invite you to take your time and explore the visual treats that our various artists create. Venture to our little courtyards and past the vege patch to the Dead End, where you have no choice but to turn around and head back down towards the showroom for some more visual treats.

Check out our before & afters to get an idea of how massive a transformation this was and what is possible with an idea and a lot of effort by people who are passionate about what they do.

We hope this will be an inspiration to people who just don’t know what to do or where to start and that we will be able to steer you in the right direction to get the garden you want.

But really, the best way to experience our Sculpture Walk is by coming in to see for yourself. We hope to see you soon!

Three years on this area is a well established garden creating a little piece of paradise which greets you as you step outside the showroom.
